Membership

Members must comply with the Union's Code of Conduct.

All members must be approved by the Union to become valid members; the Union has the final say on application methods and terms.

Valid members may take part in all activities organised by the Union.

Union membership is non-transferable.

Members must respect the opinions, expressions and views of other members.

Without the Union's permission and authorisation, members must not hold any event in the Union's name.

Members should endorse the Union's purposes and mission, and actively participate in and support its activities.

Without the Union's permission, members must not publicise, misuse or abuse the Union's relationships with any organisation to conduct promotion or sales for personal gain.

If the Union finds that any member's conduct or statements damage its reputation, conflict with its interests, or breach the Code of Conduct, the Union may terminate that membership; the Union's decision is final and binding. A member whose membership is terminated ceases to enjoy all rights, benefits and privileges granted by membership.

The Union has absolute discretion to amend the Code of Conduct and will notify members of changes in whatever manner it considers appropriate.

A member wishing to withdraw must notify the Union in writing or by email not less than one month in advance.
